Breaking the habit after 17 years

The Long Way Back is an award-winning documentary that tells the story of Todd “Z-Man” Zalkins, a former musician and intervention specialist, who battled addiction for most of his life, giving a face to the opioid epidemic in the United States.

Our Work

Distorting reality

Todd’s story, one of many, is emblematic of a larger story — one about the opioid drug crisis currently haunting the United States.

Our process

Designing the right mix

A mixture of elements is a no-brainer when it comes to creating title sequences, the key is hitting the right spot and balance through all the components.

Our mission

Capturing reality

The documentary dives right into the real world, showing a raw story in an honest way, and our design needed to work side-by-side with that sensation, being an extension of it.
